Being an aspiring artist, I am always on the look for inspiration from others. And each time I come across an artist work that catches my eye, it is bitter sweet. I love being able to experience the different “taste” of an artist and their view, but it forces me to reflect on my efforts and potential. At the end of the day, I respect art regardless on who the artist is. I know it is from the heart when I feel it and am inspired by it. And from this, I know it is from God. And I can never deny that but to only share it with others.
I have recently come across an artist’s work that I instantly have fallen in love with. I was at a store in L.E.S in Manhattan called Reed Space and discovered his book. The cover art caught my eye and I have been drawn in since then. The way he creates in a letter or calligraphy style and layers it in an amazing design is inspiring. I love the way his style is so free but has structure in a way. There’s a language in the way he paints that is different in each canvas, but the same message of passion that is undeniable.
